Heather Gillespe the glass artist...

' being self taught, i lived for a year in a remote village of Kaminecky Senov in the Czech Republic. time spent studying techniques, refining my skills and perfecting my craft. ' - Heather Gillespe

She earned herself a degree from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2003 and uses her skills to fashion glass lighting, bowls, vases inspired by Iceland volcanic landscape and the country's traditional Lopapeysur pattern, popular on knitted sweaters. She draws patterns directly to glass the coats the renderings with glue to keep them from disappearing once the engraving process has started. Each unique lamp takes approximately 4 days to create and the line took 8 month to design...
i love the details, the sophisticated design and it is perfect for a wedding gift or even for a Christmas present :)
